A Hint of Romance
She was caught up in the scene. "You'll never see anything like this in the States---fishing families living in corrugated steel shacks and thatched huts next to a five-star resort." She brushed back strands of long hair blowing in the wind. When their eyes met, she asked, "Are you enjoying this?"
Such a relaxed setting for a lunch of lotus stem salad and a Fume Blanc from New Zealand. Unfortunately, an uninvited guest is waiting in the parking lot of the Phu Hai Resort, and it's going to be a rough ride back to Saigon.

A two-hour drive east from Saigon on National Highway 1A, Phan Thiet is exploding with beachfront resorts. The 18-hole Ocean Dunes Golf Club and enormous sand dunes of nearby Mui Ne are added attractions.
